Description

I swear this is one of the most creepy pictures I have drawn. :iconscaredplz:
have no idea what the heck my artistic muse was thinking when I drew this.
All I was doing was doodling on my tablet, listening to some music, when this just happened.

I love how the red accents the dark shading.

When people talk about their inner "muse" it's anyone's guess just what such a presence would really look like.

That said, the way you depict a muse is amazing. The colors and the facial expression add a lot to the piece overall--there's a lot of emotion in this; the more I look at it, the more I see, the deeper this appears to be. The red and the black and the gray and the white...it all blends together so well.

It's quite a beautiful picture of something we can't see.

Vision is 5/5. It takes a lot to think up something as emotional as a "muse" and put it down into an art that others can see and enjoy. But you've done that very well, and the somber facial expression suits this particular muse well.

Originality is 3/5. It takes the right artist and the right mind to be able to pull something emotional like this and make it look this amazing...in other words, you have to have an understanding of just what a muse is in order to do this right. I think you have that understanding, and your work shows it. You can't get more original than that!

Technique is 4/5. This particular artistic style compliments your skill and helps to bring out the emotion in a believable and realistic way. The only thing I'm wondering about is the background--while it's not bad or taking away from the overall effect at all, it's difficult to understand just what it is...

Impact is 4.5/5. Read the above...this impacted me quite a bit--enough to write my first critique (which is obviously why this sucks). I've done a lot of thinking about the essence of the word and what that means for humanity...seeing this was like refreshing my mind and tapping into my curiosity.
